Species of Tube Traveller #10 - The Poacher

The thing about The Poacher is that you have probably seen dozens in your time without even realising. The Poacher is a master of disguise and is so stealthily silent that they will strike before you even know what happened. The poacher steals seats - it doesn't matter how far down the carriage they are or how close you are to a newly unoccupied seat, they will slip their way in faster than you can say 'Guhh?'I once witnessed a man who went to sit down before a Poacher flew down the carriage and nicked it off him. He ended up sitting on her lap briefly as she was so fast and sneaky he didn't even realise the seat was snatched from him.

The Poacher

Poachers are notoriously difficult to capture or document as they can take so many forms - It could be a businessesman, a school-kid or a hipster-lady. No one is safe. The only specimen that has been caught ended up expiring in captivity which may indicate a dependence on food and oxygen, although this cannot be proven until more are studied. The best you can do to protect yourself is to be vigilant, and if a seat does open up, act quickly.

Habitat – Unsure as they are so stealthy, but are guaranteed to be in train carriages
